The weekend that was in pictures and snark

Saturday morning Mari Adkins and I did the Morris Book Shop’s ‘Homegrown Authors’ thing at the Lexington Farmer’s Market. Please forgive the filter used on the photos, it didn’t mean to suck.

Sunday afternoon was the official release party of Mari’s novel MIDNIGHT.

Sunday night, I recorded an episode of The Cromcast podcast. The hosts softened me up with cheap bourbon. You’ll be entertained by my crazy stories.

The Cromcast bourbon of choice? Old Fitzgerald. My Kentucky boy bourbon sensibilities weren't offended by Old Fitz.

Monday night I took part in the Lexington Public Library’s Adult Summer Book Buzz Reading kickoff. This amounted to me donating some books and giving a 45 minute or so discussion about Apex Publications, our books, and our magazine. It wasn’t a science fiction crowd, but many of them seemed genuinely interested in checking out our books.

How did I hold up after all that activity? I’m exhausted today, but no more ragged looking than usual.
